“The Pursuit of Happiness”

Am I happy with what I’m doing?
This is the question that I always ask myself whenever I’m doing something new either for a short term or long term, in school, my career, hobbies, relationships, food, and even in my travels.

I wanted to become an accountant back in high school because of my love with numbers. Then I found out what the I.T. Industry can offer, in studies, work, businesses and daily life. My pursuit of career suddenly shifted to Information Technology.

Ever since that day, I started loving programming, not just the numbers but also the variables and syntax… Wait! Let’s not go overboard with the technicalities, going back to my story.

I love to follow the goals that bring me happiness. Whatever challenge I encounter to reach it I consider as blessings. Whenever I commit mistakes from trying, I stand up, move on and learn from those mistakes. As a developer, it is difficult to know all the codes and strategies in an instant, mistakes can happen at any given time. Since I have the PASSION in this field, I chose to stay.

For years, I didn’t only have the ups and downs, but also the knowledge and experience from it.

There was a time that I was offered a job on a different career path, one that is far from being a developer, the salary is high and tempting! That I can tell you. So, I asked these questions to myself. Will I enjoy it? Will it bring me the same happiness every time a code works? Every time I find that one character error that broke down a site? NO. That is why I stood my ground and built my foundation on a solid rock, the field that I know for a long time which I will forever treasure and will always bring me happiness.

Being a Web Developer at CarlOcab.com adds a tremendous amount of learning from my team that I already consider as family. The environment is so cool which enables us to enjoy our daily work and develop websites without any stress at all.
