You can easily cater to people with both short attention spans and long attention spans within the same pieces of writing.

For example, all newspapers will do this by placing the most interesting parts of the stories at the beginning, then each paragraph will slowly become either less and less interesting or relevant to the page title.

This allows for people with short attention spans to drop off as soon as they’ve read the first paragraph and read just what they want to read, and it also allows for those who are interested in more information to continue on.
